President Obama's Health Care Speech

I took some notes of points that were interesting to me when President Obama delivered his Health Care Speech on September 9, 2009. I felt that some of these points were relevant to the story concept for class. I am adding as part of my research.

• Now is the time to deliver on health care.
• Among 100%-Gov't-VA-will not require you to change what you have: make insurance work better for you.
• Preexisting condition-won't be denied coverage when you get sick.
• No arbitrary cap.
• No one should go broke because they get sick.
• Routine checkups and preventative care will be covered.
• Uninsured Americans, small businesses.
• Americans can shop for insurance at -
• Large companies, gov't employees and congress do this-its time to give every American the same opportunity.
• The plan incorporates ideas from many of the people in this room.
